1AU6468 W
What year is your car? The differential case and cover should have a cast date on it. The cover has it on the flange behind the fill plug. The case has it on the forward passenger side. The underside is stamped and usually has a 2-3 letter code that tells the gear ratio.
Not sure about that number you have, but AU was the code for 3.36:1 heavy duty posi with 427 in 1968.
well, this is out of a 1968 427/390hp coupe. i counted the revs on the rearend and it is a 3:36. i will check for the dates that you mentioned. thanks,
anyone else know more about the numbers stamped on the bottom side that i posted? i'm assuming that the 6468 translates to 06-04-68. but what about the 1 and the W?
