rear-end ID question?
just pulled these numbers off my differential. trying to determine if it the original, i believe that it is. not sure what all this means though, any help would be appreciated, thanks, rick

Not sure about that number you have, but AU was the code for 3.36:1 heavy duty posi with 427 in 1968.

well, this is out of a 1968 427/390hp coupe. i counted the revs on the rearend and it is a 3:36. i will check for the dates that you mentioned. thanks,
anyone else know more about the numbers stamped on the bottom side that i posted? i'm assuming that the 6468 translates to 06-04-68. but what about the 1 and the W?
