Default Some before and after pics

Before & After #1
Before-
Engine bay. Note the funky foam piece a PO added over the radiator:

After-
Chrome radiator cover, chrome brake fluid cover, etc

Since these pics were taken I have also detailed/painted the fan shroud and the fan blades. Pics to come..

Before & After #2
Before-
Interior up front. Steering wheel spokes are dull and the rim core is old and crumbly. PO added wheel wrap to probably help keep the crumbling core intact as much as making the wheel thicker. Carpet is dirty, dash and top pretty grimy. Shifter boot ripped, brittle, etc:

After-
New steering wheel with shiny chrome spokes. Carpet cleaned and then added rubber floor mats to help protect it. Dash is scrubbed and cleaned. New shifter boot, etc:

Coming up - before and after door panel pics, rear cargo area and more...

That wheel looks awesome! .. what is it and where did you get it from? .. I was thinking of leather wrapping my stock wheel, but now I think I would just get a wheel like that and keep the stock one.

Looks real good now , betcha you're happy with the results. That foam over the radiator was funky but it serves a purpose in that it directs incoming air thru the grille to only thru the radiator and not "escaping" over it. The interior is like night and day. You may find that in warmer weather your car may run a bit warmer then usual. Peace,,, Moosie

How did you prep the brake booster for paint?

Whats that stuff on the underside of the hood and on the brake booster?

Good start on the engine compartment, but there's a ton more detailing you can do with minimal cost. Just time and attention to detail. Start by replacing the air cleaner filter and painting the master cylinder....

Yeah I know but I can think of a lot better looking ways to accomplish the same thing than a chunk of foam as you can now see
The interior is coming along nicely but since the whole car needs touching up and/or replacement pieces all over inside and out, as you all know all to well I'm sure it can be a slow and costly process.

I just cleaned the crap out of... or I guess that should be "off of" it
I used Simple Green to clean it really well and then soap and water to get it totally ready for paint.

The underside of the hood appears to be some kind of heat shield material. The silver shield material was going to be coming off and I was going to have the underside painted, but now I have decided to get a different hood all together so I added a decal under there to make it look a little better until my new hood arrives and gets painted

Thanks. I am pretty good at detailing a car, I just need to be able to locate all of the little dress up goodies to add to places like the engine compartment so as I clean, paint and detail each area I can then add chromed goodies, fancy covers and the like

Here is what my 2001 Mustang GT looks like now, which is way better than the stock look it had when I first purchased it:

I also had my stock rims powder coated at a local shop here to match the color scheme of my car:

New colored calipers and cross drilled/slotted rotors:

Then I attacked my plain black interior:

I also had another local guy make me custom made vertical door hinges for my Stang which are the highest quality and durable of these kind of hinges I have ever seen:

and there is a lot more I have done to my Mustang but I digress

I just did what I could to make them look better until I can find a good deal on a new set.

Now that's how it should be done! Awesome!

Did you have to pull the motor or were you able to get that result without taking it out?

Before and after
Rear cargo area.
Sadly I don't seem to have any before pics showing the monster boom box style sub woofer stereo box jammed in the back and the dirty ripped furry carpet hanging down and making the car look worse than it really was.
During-
After the crappy old carpeting had been removed:

A few things required attention but overall it wasn't too bad back there

Once everything was removed I could better see what was able to be re-used and what needed to be replaced while redoing the carpeting

The new carpeting being installed

After-
