Live in Washington State and touring as much of the USA as possible in our motor home. Just learned from my nephew in Atlanta that Bowling Green has the Corvette museum. We will, weather permitting, visit the musuem, anyone have input on what we will see?
Cool enough if your going through here, Dont know that its all that to be the destination..
It will be in September www.corvettecaravan.com
Labor day weekend celebrations of the 15th aniversary and grand reopening of the museum
It hasn't been shut, just undergoing expansion
I was at the musuem 2/14/09. They've done a lot on the new expansion, but still have a lot of work to do. They hope to have everything finished by the end of May.
The assembly plant has reopened. If you want to tour the plant, contact the plant in advance and make the required reservations. They do not accept walk-up guests any more.
Touring Nashville today, will drive to Bowling Green tomorrow and tour the corvette museum. Not able to obtain a reservation for a tour of the factory, keeps telling me "date is not available." Thanks to everyone for the info, appreciate it.
If you are interested in visiting the museum, you should check out the 15 year anniversary celebration later thisw summer. Lots of vettes and cool stuff
Toured the National Corvette museum yesterday and enjoyed what we saw. The facility is under a remodel but still worth the visit. Across the street a gentleman has a nice collection of vintage vehicles for sale, we enjoyed that tour also, but not able to tour the Corvette factory. Thanks to all for their input.
