I’m not sure, but it doesn’t look like this would work with a convertible. From the pictures I don’t see any cutouts for the hinges. It also looks like it would stick out too far for the top to come down. Not positive on this, but I just added something similar to my convertible and space is tight in that area.
For those people like me, (an old fart) that hates that BOOM, BOOM.
I got a a Pioneer radio and 4 Pioneer speakers without a sub. The radio put out 50 watts and thats more than enough for me. If ya have to have an amp like many do as one poster said put it in the tire and jack compartment. My installer was able to get original sized speakers in the original places and it sounds great to me. Not a good picture i know but i wanted all the room i could get so i could get a suitcase, tops, and a small toolbox in the back.
We like to jump in the Vette and follow the nose down the coast and fly to where ever we end up.
The 50 watt speakers in the original spot with the bass and tremble adjusted properly will blow us out of the car if i wanted and the speakers don't give a crappy sound no matter how high i turn it up.
I'll take a pic in the sunlight showing that i loose no room at all.
i gotta say i hate the boom boom too. that is why i built this system. i figure if my sidepipes dont drowned it out this will do it for sure. all i have to do is crank this thing up and i will not hear the boom boom anymore. i am more of a dmb or classic rock kind of guy. i however lost some storage room but my gas milage will be a long distance crusing preventative anyway. if i am going more than 100 miles i will just take the z anyway. the up side to this is the nos bottle hole doubles as a two liter holder. it is far from finished. lots of sanding left to do but you get the picture.

Is anybody ever afraid they're going to shake their back window out? Or their car apart.. That's the feeling I get but hoping I'm just worrying too much.
