Corvette and astronauts?

I don't remember but I remember a Link somewhere about a Book about Astronauts that Featured the Beautiful 1969 Custom 427 Riverside Gold with Black Stripe Corvette Coupes that were given to The Astronauts on the Apollo 13 mission? Whats the name of the book that has these features?

dont know book but in the movie apollo 13 one astronaut has what looks like a big block war bonnet yellow vet.

It was a 1972 War Bonnet Yellow LT1...with air conditioning.
IT was Tom Hanks, or maybe Gary Sinises car, or at least his characters car.

Remember it well!

Was stationed at Patrick AFB, Cocoa Beach during the 60's working on the Cape on Atlas and Minuteman and remember those days well. When the astronauts would return from a mission they would land at Patrick and there would be a parade back up through Cocoa Beach and the town of Cape Canaveral back to the Cape.

Stayed in this area after I got out of the service. Had a 66 coupe toward the end of the 60's and later on a 70 vert. Exchanged a few waves with some of these guys from time to time. A friend of mine still has a blue 71 coupe with a red and white stripe. Do not remember which astronaut had it but I do remember that it was one of them from near the end of the program.
