BB Header System Question
Any good ideas on a header exhaust pipes system for a BB 427 1969. I currently have the stock manifolds with a 2.5 inch pipe system. I’m looking for a nice rumble sound. Anybody have luck with headers for a BB vette? Type, ceramic, black? Etc. I looked in an Ecklers catalog they only had SB's listed.

Hi MM, I have the Hooker Super Competition's on my 71.. They fit really nice, but #4 tube gets a dent if you have a heavy duty idler arm.. Other than that,love em.. Ceramic coated definitly..Black paint is cheaper... 2.5 pipes to the rear with a single baffle turbo style muffler (from Allens exhaust) that looks stock from the back..Beautiful sound and not as loud as Flowmasters... Did this on a 68-427-390hp with manifolds and fell in love with the music.. Immediatly changed mine to the same with headers of course!!!! joey
