I'm in the process of setting up some vent cables. The car didn't have vents when stock, so I've never seen just how they're secured. The installation point for the inner cable is obvious.
But now I'm wondering just where/what the outer cable screws down/or secures to?
Anyone with a non A/C car ever change or replace your cables? If you could tell me where the outer spiral cable screwed down I'd sure appreciate it.
The cable had a bracket on it. This bracket screwed to the retainer on the bottom of the console and held the cable. The eyelet of the cable went over the stud and was held in place with a swedge type washer.
I'll see if I can dig you a picture out.
Here see if this helps.
