Does anyone have a photo of how the hood release cable runs across the underside of a 73 hood. My car had no cable on it when I got it so I have no idea how one goes back on it
Hope this helps...man that looks bad, I see another project coming,
obviously I need my own shop, instead of storage for over the winters, to take care of little cleanup stuff.
In addition to the photo above make sure you have it adjusted correctly or you may not be able to open the hood after you close it. Check your AIM for details.
As a back up plan study the plugs in the windshield cowl location and how the latches are tripped so you can gain access by removing the plugs and tripping the latches. My plan C is A and B don't work is a braided wire I got from my wife that is used as a plant hanger that is attached to the latch and hangs down under to hood so I can pull the wire from underneath. The wire is braided stainless steel, already has the loop on it and the swaged parts have sleeves on them so it doesn't scratch anything. Pic attached.
