When the door opens an electrical switch on the engine side of firewall is activated by a rod to release the wiper arms. Is it adjusted correctly to depress the switch? Find plug and see if current is running through (ammeter or such)

CorvetteLoad is right! The limit switch is activated by the plunger on the wiper access door. It cuts current off from reaching the motor.

I have two pages on the wiper motors for your car on my web site. One on how the items function and one on problems

I think this one on the operation of the parts will help you understand a little more about things that make the system work: http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=218

And this one has just been re-done on diagnostics on the wiper motor and it not running.

The Wilcox diagram is very helpful (although no one answered my email). I just went through something similar, but my door did not open. Make sure that the red from the limit switch is hot. The power always is on to the motor and you are switching the ground. There is also a black wire to the motor. Make sure it is a ground.
