Looking to see the door jamb area, front and rear, and the sill plates. Getting ready to paint my 72 and need to see exactly "what shows" when its all assembled. Its been so long I cant remember what it looked like
I hope this helps you some. It's a 69 we did years ago. Remember to paint the quarter trim retainers when you do the car. Before assemlby, but this is pretty much what you have taped off in your picture. I'm still looking for the finished car pictures. I'm sorry but I can't find the completed car pictures but I'm sure someone else will post some.

Quarter trim retainers are the retainers shown in the picture by Iron Cross. They are the two retainers right behind the door lock striker bolt. Two per side, one long one and the upper one with the curve to it. (4cps).

Thats what I thought. Now to dig them up!! I'm sure they are stored in one of my MANY old Willcox boxes!!!

Are the retainers metal or plastic? Might help in my search for them!!
I found a picture on Eckler's. My problem is, I don't remember taking them off, or if I did, where I put them (3 yrs ago!). And, my earliest pictures of the car (before I bought it) don't show a retainer on the driver's side. That's the only picture I have of that view, prior to beginning my resto...
All the old parts are in one big box, that's where they most likely are hiding, IF I ever had them to begin with.

Thanks!
Good deal,
I was going to have to dig through a couple boxes myself.

Rick,
I think you should look through those boxes, you might find something I still need! Or something you need that you forgot you had. Either way we both win!

Tom,
Every time someone needs a picture of something I'm out digging through those boxes. I actually dragged everything out for pictures last weekend only to find my good camera quit working.
The picture quality with my old camcorder isn't very good.
