Over the winter i let my vette set in the air on jack stands. Now when it sits on all fours the suspension won't compress. So it looks like it's four wheeling! Anyway's i was wondering what i can do to fix the problem. Is there air trapped in there? Or do i need new struts? Please help
Have you tried driving it a bit. It will feel strange, but generally after taking up and down the block in you residential area it will settle in. I don't know how severe the problem is but I have experience a similar effect.
You have to move the car to allow the tires to get back to normal geometry with the floor as they are kinked on their outer edges due to the suspension travel while lifted.
Usually a roll of ~6 feet fwd and back is all it takes.
To get the full effect, give it a whirl around the block.
I did drive it around the block a few times. Maybe it's still not warm enough yet? idk. Hopefully it settle's back down
looking at your situation from a pure point of logic......your shocks have been extended for so long, that may be causing your problem. depending on their age, I would change them if your suspension doesn't drop after driving it a few more times to see if they rebound to normal.'
just my thoughts......
