Does anyone know if you do not pick up the car but it is transported by a moving service... then what are you responsible for to get it across the border?
Once it is in the US I believe you have to go to DOL? to get proper tag... I guess you would need a letter stating it meets emissions requirements? Where does the seller obtain that?
Also, suppose the Seller drives it across and makes the sale in the US? Then what?
The process should be similiar to importing from the US.If you are using a shipping company they should handle the details and charge you for it,check with the company you are planning on using. You better contact the US Border Service and ask them directly what the process is,the right info will go a long way and spare you a bunch of grief. After dealing with the Feds, their rules, fees, taxes and paperwork, you will have your state requirements so contact your DMV as well,yes-another level of inspections, fees, taxes and paper work.
No Corvettes were ever built in Canada, however the last generation of Camaros and Firebirds were built in Quebec and the new Camaros are being built in Oshawa,Ontario, regular production just started up last week.

Anything over 15 years old is exempt from emission testing in Canada. As such many modify there vehicles. Example...remove the emission related components. Make sure yours has not been modified if you need emission testing in your state.
