I don’t have the door key for my ’68 Vette. Does anyone know what the bank codes where for that year?
Thanks,
Dan
I'll second that question. I don't have a door key for my 68. The ignition key doesn't fit the door lock. I've always thought my only option was to drive to a locksmith and have him make a new key from scratch.

Thank you Duke94,
68/70Vette- I'm in a similar situation; I bought this Vette in pieces a few years ago. The passenger door is not the original, so I have 2 different keys for the doors. I was hoping to buy 2 new key cylinders to replace the 2 different ones.

The 68 push buttons should have a key code stamped on them. If you take the push buttons to a locksmith, he might be able to make one key fit both cylinders.
General Info.
I have had a lot of cars & the way I normally get a door key is to remove the glove box lock for locksmith to make a key.
"...I have 2 different keys for the doors... ."
A locksmith can also rekey a lock to match when one doesn't.
Thanks for everyone’s help. I disassembled the door lock assembly and found the 4 digit code samped in the base of the lock(see pic). I hope this will be engough info. so a locksmith to make a key. Does anyone have a source for replacement parts for this key lock assembly? I assume a locksmith would have the parts. The return sping is rusted and ready to break.
Thank you,
