1st vette
I purchased my first at 14 1/2. Saved my money from my job and my mom loaned me the difference. I wasn't allowed to drive it until I was 15. I had it painted midnite blue during that time. It was a convertible with an additional hard top. She would run like lightning. One nite when I was abt 16, I had a friend in the car pushing me to go fast too which I obliged. We were going so fast that I almost hit a bridge. i told my dad the next day that I wanted to sell the vette as I thought it would get me killed. I've thought about that car ever since. I am now 42 (as of the 18th) and have been looking for that vette for the last three years. I tried the DMV in La, my old insurance agent in La etc all to no avail as records were lost in Katrina. I didn't find taht car but did find one just like it except without a/c. I love these cars and do not plan on ever letting this one go.

I am 29 now and the first vette I paid for was at age 25 (my 76). I got my first vette ,though, as a graduation present from collage at age 22 (my 73), but I have been racing it since I was 16. I still have both. I have been going to autox events with my dad since I was about 2. So, I have been around the Corvette scene my entire life and can't think of any better people to spend my time with.

My older brother bought my 77 Corvette for me when I was 15 I'm glad I thought about this because it reminds me how much of a cool brother he is. I bought another 77 when I was 22. I bought my 72 When I was 25. I bought another 77 When I was 30 and my 68 When I was 35 I am 37 now and still have my original 77 and my 72. I am almost sure I have my 68 sold as of today. I think everyone should have a Corvette! I love them.
