Hello from the sunny Spain. I just buy a Corvette C3 1980 from USA and now it's in the port. I have some problems. The car was stopped 3 months and the battery is dead. So, the door was locked and it's not possible to open the car. The key is inside the car and I don't have any other keys. So, is there any chance to open the car without big damage? maybe removing any panels of the top?
Another question: It's easy to recharge the battery or I need to buy a new one? I think it's very difficult to get a new one in Spain.
Thank you very much in advance ad sorry about my ignorance. I'm young and never had a corvette. I fell in love with Corvette C3 when I saw it in my US trip the last december and decide to buy because in Europe is almost impossible to find an old chevy. I make a big effort to get it and now it's locked in the port with many problems.
I'm waiting for your answers
Gracias
Attach your battery charger where the battery cable attaches to the starter, then hook the negative cable of your charger to the negative cable from the battery where it mounts to the frame under the battery box. If you are not familiar with the corvette, the negative is just behind the drivers seat on the bottom of the car. The positive cable is just behind the passenger front wheel mounted to the starter on the rear of the engine. This is how you can charge the battery without getting into the car. Like the previous poster said, a locksmith can get in it easily also.
