[IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG]I saw it today just hanging down on the pass. side of my 74 coupe by the fender. It has orange overspray on it so I thought maybe it was mounted on the block at some point. It is obviously vaccuumed controlled but I don't know. I haven't had the car that long and the Haynes manual stinks. I need to buy an assembly manual I guess. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thank
Frank

Reason: pics did not work
Is it the TCS (Transmission Controlled Spark) solenoid? It eliminates the vacuum advance in low gears when the engine is hot but is overridden when the engine is cold and allows full vacuum to the distributor.
Don't say it's broken, maybe just needs hooked up. Look for the plug dangling (not sure where it mounts, an assembly manual would be helpful here), and a vacuum line, probably still works and just disconnected.......................B
Soooo.should I be concerned that its obviously broken and dangling. What effects could I look for. Seems to run ok.
Mine wasn't on the car when I bought it and I never reinstalled it when I did the restoration. My vacuum is connected directly to the distributor and it runs fine.
