Default ride height

what is the right ride hight for a 78, my car seems to sit alot heigher then the other cars I have seen. Everything under car looks like it hasent been changed. I have 8 in under car from bottom of frame to ground. I am running 255/60 tires that the car calls for on the door jam. Thanks for any info you can give

This is from the chassis manual for a 78. If you are asking how to reduce the gap between the top of the tire and fender then that is another question.

for the back you can run the nuts on the spring bolts out as far as possible on the 6" bolts to get a little or get 8" bolts. The front you have to change the springs, a lot of people heat or cut them, the Moog people tell me to do neither. I think I am going to try and find springs for another application if I need to lower mine any after I drop the motor in and see where it is.
