I heard this story years ago, but I did not know there was a song. It is great to enjoy the simple things in life, like Corvettes. America's finest go off to fight. We owe them a lot.

I bought a 66 Shelby GT 350 from the parents of a serviceman that did not make it home back in early 72. Paid $800 for it. I had it just a few months before it was stolen. Never saw it again. Went out and bought my 65 Vette for $1,500. Still have it.
