Buy Rick Bizzoco's Guidebookbook, especially because it sounds like you have one of the few L71/THM-400 cars.

The CY69 is great news, it is the hipo Turbo 400 code CY and 1969. The next four digits are usually date codes...but seem to be sequential for the CY trannies. The 352 might be dates, shifts, or something else.

I don't recall what the AX is on the rear, but I think it is BB HD posi, maybe 3.36? I think the next numbers are dates, maybe Feb 19, 1969; or maybe 2nd shift, January 9, 1969. the W is Warren, Michigan plant.

I'd be interested in comparing more numbers from you to my '69 L71 auto, VIN 22704, block stamp T0325LX, Tranny CY 69 1366? I'll check...

Steve

Tranny sounds original, a big part of the prize! Look on the driver's side, just above the trans pan, flat machined surface, will be VIN derivative, stamped upside down.

Sorry to hear about the tri-power MIA, suitable parts come up here fairly often. There is an intake now which is just right.
