Default id tag location

hello can any of u tell me where the metal id tag with the paint code numbers is located ...i just purchased a 78 41k mile car last week .and believe it or not the build sheet was on it and about 90 percent good .but now im looking for the metal tag and i have looked everywhere i know but have apparently looked over it .thank u for your help .

Open the drivers side door and look between door hinge and window pillar on the car (it's not on the door, it's riveted to the car).

It's also painted the same color of your car, too - this is typical.
