Default Floor Insulation Help/Advice

I know this has probably been asked before: I need to know what to do about helping noise and heat. I have put regular exhaust no converter on my 77 car. I went to Lowes and brought duct insulation that is foil faced and sticky backed--comes in 12 ft roll about 2 ft wide. Friends have used it to cover the interior on street rods and it seems to help them. Question is what has proven to be the best way to address the issue. My exhaust is 2 section chambered not 4 and it seems it will be on the loud side and warm/hot on the metal floors. Car is not on the road yet--getting painted.

What works?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I sent them an e-mail earlier today asked about their material--have not heard back from them.
