Default Selling the C3

I'm going to pick up a silver 08 Z06 Monday morning, so the 82 will probably be moved to a buddy's house, since he wants it. There's not enough room in my garage for two Vettes and my wife's Buick LaSabre
I would like to think all of you that have such knowledge of these great looking cars and share it so freely. I have a least 6" high of things I have copied for future and past problems with the 82, which my buddy will inherit.
I told my wife lastnight that I was going to miss the admiring glances that you always get with the 82.
I know I will enjoy the Z06, which is something I've wanted since 06, but I'll have to get use to people not 'seeing it' as well as they do the 82.
I quess, from now on I'll just have to worry about which Loyld's floor mats to get.
Thanks again, and keep these great looking cars on the road........and I WILL wave at everyone of you, so when your talking about the snobs in the C6's, keep me in the back of your mind.
Larry

I wish I was in a position to make a similar move forwards with my car. Have fun with the new one, and you should occasionally drop some oil on the floor of your garage in memory of your '82.

Hey, you just need to start visting the detailing and accessories forums! I say that only b/c I'm jealous as hell. I'd give just about anything for a C6 Z06. I do agree that's it's a shame you can't keep both.

Realities of life -- the choice is between peace, harmony and a garage slot for your wife's car versus two vettes in the garage and your wife's car outside. Well we all know what the wise decision is there.

Congrats on the soon to be arriving Z06. Its an excellent choice.

I bought a Killer Bee intake for the Z, so I'm already messing with it and I don't even have it yet.
The guys on the Z06 forum were talking about this intake as being something good to have, which of course is what we're here for. But I had a picture in my mind of some kind of aluminum highrise, since I'm a C3 guy. Nope..... it's the snockel thingy with the air filter on the end, but it cost more than 4 alum. intakes.
I'm going to have to wait to get the Loyld mats and wax after buying that sucker.
Then someone mentioned a good mod would be to get rid of the run craps(?) Took me a while but I figured out they were talking about the run flat tires. It's going to take me a little while to figure out the C6 language.
Save the Wave!

Oh sure - it starts with a 2 car garage, and then a 3 car. Then it's like "lets build an unattached garage in the backyard!" for the next 2 vehicle purchases. And then still not satisfied you find yourself contracting a builder for a 12 bay carriage house!

I'm still not sure why the Buick LeSabre can't stay outside? We have a Buick LeSabre at it stays outside. What's a wife? We don't have one of those.........

If there is a valid reason to get rid of your C3 replacing it with a Z06 is one of the best one's I can think of. The breathtaking performance will more than make up for what some people consider bland styling. With the stance, scoops, lips, and sound I don't see how the car not being noticed. Enjoy!
