Default WILLCOX for Canadians

My first buy at Willcox was really good. They, unlike others, have Canadian address options and delivery charges are posted before you buy. No phoning required, no issues with hidden costs. Prices as good as any I saw.

Ordered yesterday so delivery yet to come, but a real user friendly site that was pretty easy.

Cheers from Canada to Willcox

A vote frome Sweden says
The subject is suitable for oversea orders too.

Friendly and helpful is the proper words for them.
Always fast deliveries and (very rare) faulty parts have been corrected without a problem.

They are very good but could take a cue from Corvette Central and strike an agreement with the Canadian government re PST and GST. This cuts out the brokerage fee charged by the likes of UPS and FedEx.

HUH ?
UPS on my last 2 orders from "The South" presented me with brokerage fees that exceed the cost of shipping.

NO NO NO NO !!!!! Well maybe I'm saying no to fast,,,, question; does Corvette central offer the posability to ship USPS ? If yes,, do they collect taxes if shipped USPS ?? If the answer is yes,, then in my opinion Willcox can stay just as is,,,, because parcels do not always get checked at the boarder,, therfore we save money !!!.

DO NOT use UPS. The brokerage fees are terrible. They hold your stuff for ransom until you pay the jacked brokerage fees. They came after me twice in 6 months after I left their depot with my boxes AFTER I paid the shipping, taxes and brokerage to get them. They backed off when they realized I kept my receipts. I bet they were hoping that I had thrown them out.

A parcel coming from a US business through USPS is taxed at the border. It's the person to person shipping via USPS that sometimes makes it through without taxes.

BULL****,, I have many examples to prouve this. The lattest one is this week,, a packege from shiftworks of a $150.00 DECLARED value with all the signatures and forms attached. Don't imagine that customs go through 100% of all the parcels that come though. they verify a percentage,, and many times we get lucky. And this is not only on small parcels I'v received large ones to.

Yur're wright, thay don't cheque 100% ...ERGO....sume get threw without taxxes...AS STATED IN MY POST. If you got a percal frum a busines without the taxxes being charged then you were lucky. Don't go calling BS when someone has experienced something totally different...........:beatdeadh orse:

When I stated "taxed at the border", I'm not sure if the taxes get assessed at the border by Canadian customs or by the local post office.

I had no intentions of offending anybody and I appolagise if I did,, my emotions got involved,, sorry. The customs system is far from perfect, maybe in some places they check more I don't know, maybe this is just luck from one region to another, I'm trying to say lets not make everybody pay taxes because one region they don't let anything through. Nobody is breaking any laws,, the system is made like this. I believe we have enough legislations to tell us what to do and what to say that if we can fall through the cracks once in a while then its bonus to us.

I've ordered from Willcox a few times, excellent service and prices. Save on brokerage charges by self brokering the goods. I learned this by my first order via UPS and their ridiculous charges.
