Default 1982 front clip replacement

After taking a front end hit on our 82 CE, we're getting ready to obtain a replacement front clip that is used. My question is, how hard is it to bond the rear portion of the front clip to the body? I'm not sure if the car should be taken to a body shop or if this is a project I can complete myself. Appreciate any advice.

I did my 72 a year ago. It isn't just a "set it in place, and glue it up" proposition. The rear portion of the clip is molded long so the door gap will have to be set. The glueing up portion of the fix is the easy part, but fitting is alot of trial and error. I'd bet I had my clip on and off at least a dozen times before I was happy. I used Lord Fusor EZ-127 to glue it up, but there are lots of adhesives you can use. I spent a week of evenings getting ready to glue my clip on, but an experienced shop could do it in a day or two. I had a quote of $1800 for labor on mine. I'm glad I did it myself, it was challenging but fun to see the transformation.

i also did the nose on a 72 it was fit ,fit , refit do it a few times to get it set just right ,i bolted in the rad support to hold the front and got a tie down strap to hold to the rear section of the nose ,wrap it under chassis and tighten up that way you can see if it needs to be shimed at the door jams,it will hold during glueing process that way there are no screw holes to fill
