Default C3 Restoration

Who on the forum does C3 restoration -- quality work at a reasonable price?

Or who knows of someone who does?

Thanks

Keep in mind that a reasonable price for quality work is still going to be a very large amount of greenbacks.

Expect to pay 65-85 per hour. An AVERAGE frame off resto takes about 1000 hours labor, plus cost of new parts. I know a guy who works at Corvette Repair on Long Island and this is what he told me.
As far as guys here on the forum, Road Race Vette and Vettes By Design are two that do it. Sorry if I forgot anyone else here that does it.

We will be glad to discuss your restoration with you. Our work is of the highest quality, and our rates are not outrageous. There are many forum members that have seen our work in person at various shows , that can testify for our workmanship.
You can also search my threads for a lot of our work that we have posted here on the forum.

Best Regards,

Who?
Why not you?
I never thought or even planned on half of the repairs
I have made on my car until something broke and my hand
was forced to do something about it.

Now that's not to say you have to do everything yourself,
but consider yourself the builder / general contractor. It's your car,
you want it done a certian way, if you choose not to do something or
attempt the work and it still isn't right, then sub contract the work out

The mind is a powerful thing. After I bought a copy of the assembly
manual and talked with some folks, both in person and online, it is
amazing what you can do yourself when you put your mind to it.

Good Luck!
Rudy

good words Rudy and I know that they were well intended, but y'know it's just not for everyone. many people (myself included) simply don't have the space, the tools, or the time to do all of their own wrenching. i commend and aplaud those who do but i hope you don't hold it against those of us who don't!

Ed,

No problem and you are right in saying that it's not for everyone.

However, I also know that owning a 39 year old car,
especially a Corvette, would require me to turn a wrench or two.

Well, to each his or her own, Right?
