Car to rebuild?
Hello,
I would like to get opinions concerning the C3 series.
I would like to buy one that has a running engine and a ok body as long as there is no major damage its fine. Scratches; dents; whatever is acceptable.
My plan is to buy one when I go back to college and spend maybe a year working on the Visual. Nothing fancy. I want to give it to my father as a 50th birthday present. My problem is money. My budget is at $15 k for everything so far.
What do you guys think about it? Save more cash or what...?

the question is how attracted to chrome bumpers are you?
If you get a later C3 then your budget is pretty good. Go out and price paint jobs. If you have a shop you can save some money on the body work as you said.
