one wire alternators
I am thinking about putting in a one wire alternator on my c3. Is there anything I should know about this kind of alternator? Will it work the same as the 3-wire stock one in there now?

3 words-don't do it.
A 1-wire alternator works best for low amp draw constant applications like machinery and tractors. The further away from the battery you get, the worse it performs. Stick with the stock style 3-wire or get a CS144 (stay away from CS130). There are plenty of articles and posts on this upgrade.

exactly what he said Do Not add a 1 wire alternator to your Vette.
They only reason to add a 1 wire Alternator is easy install.
your electrical system will function much better with the corrct alternator that uses voltage feedback.
