Default headlight door adjustment

I have a 75 stingray that the doors seem to be low. Is there a way to adjust the way the assemblies set in or how do I fix this problem. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

It sounds like you need to adjust your pivot bushings. There are two per headlight and are attached to the support brackets with three bolts each. I'd tape the edges of the buckets and the surround with tape to prevent chipping your paint during the adjustment process.

Describe "low"...are the fronts of the assembly lower than the body (ie droopy) or is the entire door below the surface? Any pix?

I'm not an expert but I'm in the process of restoring the pop-ups in my 79. Correct me if I'm wrong but the pivot adjusters seem more of a left to right and not an up and down. There is a stop bracket with an adjuster bolt on the outer edges of each of the assemblies...if the front is droopy this is where I expect I would start.

The pivot bearing assemblies move fore/aft and up/down and then you have the pivot stop collars which limit side to side movement of the bucket.

The bushing bolt holes are larger then the bolt shaft allowing adjustment up-down-forward-back.
If your whole assembly is lower than the surrounding body surface then the support bar may have separated from the body.
If just the front edge is lower, there's an adjusting screw in the "link" (that's what it's called in the AIM),(in the ZIP catalog it's referred to the "rear link") that you can adjust to raise the front edge.

Default low headlights

I appreciate all the help I,m going to go and check it out right away. I have been working on cars for years and also have a C5 but the headlight system on the C3 is different from any other ssystem, again thanks for all the help
