I never really liked the hard plastic and slippery steering wheel on my 1974. So last winter Chuck Pelton provided me with a leather-wrapped and cushioned version. That was my task for today. It looks and feels very nice! And yes the horn still works. I normally get all those gizmos back in in a way that it does not work or is always on. Time for a celebatory beer!
The windshield post weatherstripping is next on the list.
Man nice car.
Question where did you get the hood to filter top gasket ? Yours looks really good some Ive seen dont look that good. my 75 needs one but the first one I ordered had more wrong with it than the one I have in the car.
Did you do something with the floor boards to get them that sponge bob look(Square) that looks great , and I like the speakers down at the kick panel area.
Oh yea and great looking steering wheel I added one of those wraps on mine it will do for now.

Many of those $35.00 hood mats hang like rags. The one in the pic is fiberglass and molded/rigid. It came from Eckler's; about $80.00.
I am too old to know about Sponge Bob but those are rigid plastic Fox Weatherboots. I had to make a few minor mods for the early (rather wide) C3 TH400 console but generally they fit very nicely.
Im with you on the sponge bob thing Just the commercial You might have seen it the burger king 99Cent ad any way forget the sponge .
Great job on the floor pans . it reminds me of the way race cars look inside.
The hood gasket that sits on the carb top where did you get that .it look Factory is it A GM replacement?I need one.thanks
Paul, you simply continue to improve on an already gorgeous car. Keep up the exceptional work. Also, I'd like to ask you to put me on the top of the list for when you decide to sell...
