Shot this one the weekend before last. It needs to be cropped some to make it better, but I have been challenged by that. Also makes her look higher in the rear than I picture in my head. I want to lower the rear a little, but I want to install spare tire capbility to see if that has any impact (probably minimal) before adjusting the stance. The Bike Stand is a bike shop in town that my neighbor owns, he is standing in the doorway. He has helped me extensively with the car, even doing some wrenching for me last fall when my thumb was under the weather. It's funny talking about cars with him because I am a VW/Corvette guy and he is primarily a MG/Triumph guy, it shows how similar a lot of cars are. Hope you enjoy it!
Hmmm, struggling with this one. First way too big, now really small. What is the ideal size to post? I think this one is 640x480.

640x480 fits in most people's computer screens without too much horizontal scrolling. 1024x786 would probably the largest I would ever go since not everyone has their computer screen set to a higher resolution so the rule is to cater to the smaller screen size (resolution) settings. Maybe in the future try zooming in more when you frame the pic in your camera before shooting the pic - less cropping to do later on, but you might still have to resize the photo to either of the above mentioned pic sizes for online forums. I didn't see your first photo you posted but if you're using either GIMP or Photoshop then you can crop out the green house next door that will zoom in more on the car and bike shop. I think there's tips on using either of those photo editing /manipulation software over in the Help forum. Or if you need further help then drop me a PM with your questions - I use both S/W packages.
You need Photoshop and crop the pic down, right now all you are highlighting in the pic is how well the town paints lines on the road. Send me your original and I'll crop for you. PM me.........................Bruce
Lookin' good. VW/Corvette guy, um, now the question is.....what kind of a guitar guy are you?
The kind who sits in his dining room playing cheap guitars for several hours per week, getting frustrated and learning little but too lazy to get any lessons. But, it's better than watching TV IMO.
Thanks! The one there is 640x480. You are right though, I am not much better with the camera than I am with the digital image! I should have zoomed in more, but it wasn't my camera and I was struggling mightily. Obviously, I was standing across the street to take the photo, and cars kept coming by and getting into the shot. I thought I would post the pic anyway though, because the flowering tree looked cool.
The car is supposed to be a repaint of Bridgehampton Blue, and most of the time it looks believably close. In some light conditions though, it looks lighter than I think it is supposed to, but I don't care all that much. When I was buying the car, my wife told me "no black, white, yellow, orange, red, or gold cars", so I was left with blue, green and silver. Luckily I like all three of those!
The rear is a replacement composite spring that is not the correct rate. The seller was up-front about it and said he tried to have the old spring re-arced but that it was just beat and he couldn't find a replacement that was the right rate. At that point, I couldn't ding him for dishonesty, now could I? It was one of several issues I wasn't thrilled about but accepted when I bought the car.

LOL...keep playing. Hell, I'm an old retiree in Florida and when the wife is out shopping, I plug my Gibson SG into my Fender amp, crank it up and let her rip! Of course I'm stuck in the '60's so you better like The Kinks, Cream, and Hendrix. I started playing guitar and drums in '64, my wife (then girl friend) used to go with me when we played at dances. I'm surrounded by guitars and my Ludwigs are right behind me.

Gibson SG is a sweet guitar, very meaty sound, especially at 7th position and below, I'm sure that works great for Kinks, Cream and Hendrix! I played a few of them when looking for my present guitar, but the $1800 price tag drove me to a Schecter C-1 elite. OK guitar, nothing great. The best thing about it is it cost $550 and it plays as well as most guitars I have seen in the $800-$1000 range. It's a little short of "good gear" though. I've only been playing about 3 years, I play mostly Beatles and Grateful Dead because they are fairly easy, so I am kind of stuck in the '60s - '80s myself!
All that is, of course, when I am not working on or driving my Corvette!

Yeah....I play a lot of Beatles stuff too. I use my Gretsch Chet Adkins Country Gentleman to get me in the early Beatles mood.
