I've seen worse than that be brought back to life. Amazingly enough the rear glass and trim look pretty good.

Thats very hard on the eyes. The owner probably wanted a mint to sell it, or it could just rot.

That's one of the saddest things I've ever seen with a classic Vette...

Lots of that where I live. My brother tried to buy a 56 Chevy 2 door hard top from his neighbor for like 10 years. The guy claimed sentimental value and couldn't sell but it just sat in the rain and rotted away. He never even covered it. My opinion, if you're not gonna do something with let someone bring life to these old cars.

But it also gives me hope that I'll be fortunate to stumble on one like that someday!

Proof that there still are midyears (and hopefully solid axles) out there that haven't been scarfed up yet.

Let's see... An LS1, fancy 6 speed AT, modern wheels, tires and brakes. Primer paint, for now. New interior, with AC (it is a coupe). Gotta have it.

I bought my wifes Austin Healey 3000 like that, I asked everyone in the guys neighborhood how to get in touch with him and they all told me he wouldn`t sell it for any amount. When I talked with the guy he told me he would never sell it but as we were standing there he changed his mind on the spot and made me a great deal on the car. I wrote him a check on the spot and it was in my shop that night. You never know till you try and try and try.

I am an honest person, but when i see that i feel the car should be "Rescued" If you get what i mean. The clown that has it doesnt deserve it.
