Default comp cams assembly lube

I was wondering.
i am getting stuff together for a cam swap.
i know you are supposed to coat the cam lobes, distributer gear, and the bottom of the lifters with moly lube.

my buddy gave me the lube that was left from his cam swap. it is the comp cams cca104 assembly lube. it is thick white lithium based. can it be used on the cam lobes or should i just toss it and get something else.
(the stuff that comes with cams is just too thin)

Over the years I have used everything from high end cam lube to wheel bearing grease and STP when I was a kid, never had a problem with any of them.
