Default Adding a photo?

I am trying to add a photo to a message but it is not a URL it is on my desktop. How do I accomplish this simple task?

It cannot be posted from your desktop. You need a remote hosting service like Photobucket, and paste in the [IMG] link:
---------------------
First, go to PhotoBucket.com and sign up for a free account. After you get one, upload your pictures there.

Then, hover your cursor over the picture you want to select. You should have 4 links underneath the picture. Go all the way to the bottom and highlight the link that starts with [IMG. Right-click and copy this link. The site sometimes tells you you copied the link just by highlighting it, but that doesn't work for me.

Then, paste this link into your post. It should look a lot like this:

[IMG]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a141/sgvette/100_2234.jpg[/IMG

Note that I left the last ] off the end, because if I left it in place the picture would show. I wanted you to see what the link would look like in your post.

When you post the full IMG link, your picture will appear in your posting, like this:

After you do this a couple times, it will be an easy no-brainer. Good luck

I am on a MAC...it did not seem to work. I will play with it. Rather than the image show the [IMG]address appeared in the body of the text. Again no image.

Hi... no that is the car I found and am restoring. See the recent post. I finally got it to work. I am looking for some vette spinners to match the two I have.

Youre welcome, guys. Newbies here seem to struggle with picture posting more than anything... glad to help.

It is. I actually was looking for a silver blue one when I bought it, but it's a great dependable fun driver. We have a lot of fun with it.

It looks like 1994 code 66 Copper Metallic. A one-year color and only 116 Corvettes came with it.

Thanks Guys!

I wasn't sure what color to go with originally, but I've always been partial with Orange (my company color). I picked a Pearl Orange with flakes that reflects different colors depending on the lighting.

This is what the car originally looked like when I got it...

WOW! I found a 58 the other day...for $60,000. It needs new paint and come serious cleaning. I'm actually thinking about it.

I don't lust but those pictures tempt me! Good job! I'm after a 58 - 62 but they are hard to find...at a reasonable price.
