I was holding 60mph when the "bomb" went off...Normally I drive with both hands on the steering wheel but I was coordinating the join up with Elio... The car shook, dirt and long lost items were flying all around the cockpit and the back tires locked up I think.. at least the right rear did ... and I ended up OK but dead in the water on the side of the road in front of Alliance Airport... They have done work on the car before and Rich is a long time hot rodder... We never did find the drive shaft ... It did some damage to the rear of the transmission case as it tore itself from the car... I anointed two red Corvettes today .... Ray from following me and Elio from following the tow truck...
