Well its time to replace the brakes, calipers and rotors on my 82.
They are original to the car and i have never changed the brakes on a vette. I'm hearing something about rotors being rivited on. Any advice from those of you who have done this project. Also recommendations on what kits to buy and who has the best deal. I'm not looking for anything fancy just a good solid brake system.
Depending on the wear of your rotors you may only need to turn them and not change them. Just turning won't require drilling out the rivets. Just remove the hub and disk as a unit. Try http://www.muskegonbrake.com/ or Eckler's for brake caliper kits. You can also get them at a local auto parts store.
