I just swapped out my rear suspension with a vbanp one. So the two back calipers came off and also the drivers side front(leaking-replaced it) They are all fairly new and I didnt have any problems before my rebuild.
Now I cannot get a hard pedal. I know there are tons of treads about this but I am asking how to tell if its a bad MC or my proportioning valve is stuck.
When I bleed the fronts, everything is fine...no bubbles (using the two person method of opening and closing bleeder). But the rears dont have very much pressure and seem to still have air in them. I drove around and theres enough brake to barely stop. The front rotors were pretty warm but the back were cool. (so no back brakes?)
I didnt let the M/C go dry(clamped the rear rubber lines-maybe this caused a problem??) but could this be the problem? Or since there is low pressure when bleeding the rears is the proportioning valve stuck? I tried a couple methods to reset it but nothing has worked. BTW the brake light is on.
Im not sure where to start, I have bled them several times but nothing is working. Any one have any ideas before I go buy a new M/C.
Hard brake pressure with car on or off. I can barely get enough pressure to keep the pedal off the floor. I can pump it while the cars off but it loses pressure quickly.
