I tried a thread on the body/paint forum and got no response. Has anyone replaced a door skin on a C3. If so is it difficult would you suggest this route over an entire used door. The inside of my door is excellent windows work great etc. I would like to replace door skin if it is not a nightmare. Pics would be great. Please help.
Hi flyinfree
I took the door skin off because of rust if you have patient and work with blower it will take you time to take it out and probably you will need to take out the inside parts to separate the upper section of the door skin. I think if you find a door without rust it will be easier job to do.
Avner,
Have you completed the job. How did the assembly process go?

It isn't very hard to change out a skin. Like he said, use a heat gun to heat the adheasive around the edge, work a thin, sharp putty knife between the door frame and the skin and work your way around. Clean the metal up and its ready to put back on. A note here, there is a pretty good amount of glue in the joint, so when you assemble the skin back on the door, use clamps but don't squeeze all the glur out of the joint, if you do the door won't line up.

No. only last week I took the body to the body shop and the they said we should glue the skin door when we alien the front and the body seat on the frame, so I have long way to go.
