Do you have the Insulation ???? Other people say theres does not bubble even without the Insl. how are you getting heat out of the motor area I just installed a 3600 CFM Electric fan and I can feel the air coming out under the car ,It blows really good my old fan did not do this .It also ran hotter with the Original Fan.
No underhood insulation.
Bubbles formed second time now pretty much in the radiator area of the hood?????? Anyone have any suggestions?

Are the bubbles only on the passenger side? Do you have A/C? If you do, your compressor might be what's causing the bubbles. Check to see that it isn't leaking and flinging oil up onto the underside of the hood.
As for an 80-82 with an L88 hood, here's mine. BTW, I don't have any insulation, and I'm bubble free.
Most bubbles are on passenger side but they are seem to go accross the front of the hood. And they are about 8 inches ahead of the ac and belt.Ac is now discharged but I never found any oil underhood.Anyone ever win reparing this or should I replace the hood?
Nice rides guys..... love those hoods!
Bring it to a bodyshop for an evaluation! Sounds as if it has a paint bonding (actually non-bonding) issue. Has the hood been painted lately?
Can you tell if the bubbling is the clearcoat, basecoat or down to primer or the fibreglass?
If the hood has been painted recently there may have been contamination on the surface which affected the paint from bonding properly to the fibreglass! If that's the case it needs to be stripped and prepped and painted again.

Need help posting a picture?
Yup, contaminated glass was my first thought. Oil, or stripper that was left on too long and got into the fibers can do that. I put 6 coats of epoxy primer on my bare glass. Overkill, but it's done now.
Car painted once... then repainted on hood because of bubbling once more!Tried to get pics but car is still parked in garage did not turn out. Will post pics later this week when I get her out.

Be my best guess that you still have some contamination on the hood at the offensive bubbles. You need to bring it to the right shop to address the problem. The hood needs to be stripped, cleaned and properly epoxy primed then painted. You need to find a fibreglass guy to do this if your bodyshop that painted twice can't repair it correctly.
