The gauge cluster and new dash pads are all in. New speedo and odometer reset cable also. The lights, 4 way, horn, and turn indicators all work.
The problem: While driving, I hear a clicking as if the turn indicator was activated. This clicks when the car is moving. At higher speeds (50+) the speedo needle bounces. I was told that this could be from the speedo gear behind the gauge is slipping. Does this sound right? The odometer does not work now either. Is there a simple fix? I just got the car together and don' want to take it back apart.
Do you have one of the cable greasers ? I would try that first.I have one ,great little product un-hook the line, hook it up to the greaser and pump in some light weight grease .I wire tied my speedo cable down in two places Mine jumps A little but not much at say50mph.
