I just put C5 sport seats in my 68. I used the tracks from my original seats, cut the back bracket off and fabricated my own to lower the rear and maximize headroom. Put some spacers between seat and track so that I can still utilize the seat forward/back adjustment. Wired in the lumbar and bolster controls grouping all the orange wires to a positive and all the black to ground.

Then drove 14+ hours to BG for Cruise-in. Great mod for roadtrips!

Specifically any seats from any C5 will work. Power or not. Its up to your tastes. I used C5-Z06 seats as it matched my black interior and I prefer the styling of these to the other seats.

You need to remove the C5 track and install the C5 seats frame to C3 tracks, so you dont need to worry about power or not. If you were to try to keep the power adjustability, you would have your head above the roofline of the car, as the C5 tracks are VERY tall.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

I made a template of the bolt pattern on the C3 seats

Confirmed I could get the template to work on the C5 frame

Drill and tap the C5 frame

I had to notch out a section in the C5 frame for the controls on the C3 rails.

Used washers for spacers in between the new frame and old rails for clearances
(I added more washers to the front..raised up the front a little)

Default So to recap

any C5 seats will work (power or manual) without tracks (use C3 tracks) with a few mods (spacers).

This will be in the 82 vert (in primer) i just picked up today
