Default Help with a part ID

On the drivers side forward pillar there is a narrow piece of metal approx 2ft thats vertical and comes off the side of the windshield. Its on top of the weather stripping.

My car's being redone and that piece needs to be replaced but I cant purchase or find one because I cant seem to properly name the part. Thanks guys

Sounds like the weather strip retainer, held with screws and holds the outer trim, right?!?!?!

Purchase the assembly instruction manual (AIM) for your year. The AIM will show a diagram of the part you're looking for, its name, how it assembles, and the original GM parts number.

Knowing what you're looking for makes parts hunting a heckuva lot easier.
