idle-speed
is it normal for the idle-speed to increase on my 1980 L-48 , when i put the control switch to AC ?
Why ? (because to allow for the increased drag on the crank...pully for compressor?)

my girlfriend bumped the control lever over too far , into the AC , on our 4 hour run home from up-north , last night.
the dash-lights are dim & because i have never used the Ac , in the 3 years i've owned it , i thought my carb, or the linkage was having probs
gave the carb linkage a spray of penitrating fluid, then sat in the drivers seat , tryin to think what the heck it could be ....then i noticed the control was just touching the AC side...
soon as i put it back to vent, she dropped down & purred at 600 rpm
