I was a bit let down today I had my eye on a custom Convertible that would make many purists ill,
I am a custom lover and admit the car would have appeal to a limited few, but I liked it, was it "perfect" for me, no, how often will a custom we didn't build be perfect for us,?

So I was a bit deflated when it sold but like I said I can't call it perfect so I will keep looking,

Seems I don't always have a lucky face I tend to be a day late and a dollar short when I go looking for something,
The plus side is what I am looking for is not all that popular, purists won't want it, lots of people who dig vettes won't want it, so I am hoping some of you kind souls will keep an eye open for me for what I want,

My budget will not allow a numbers matching purists dream but if you read my posts you know I don't desire that anyway,
I want a c3 convertible, a real one, in other words must be made from GM parts with the hatch for the soft top, not one of the cut the top off a coupe and slap a hardtop on it,

Custom mods are all the better to me, I would love for it to be flared and have a hood with a scoop or even tilt front clip,
What I want is a car I can drive and enjoy while I tinker around with it,
While I would rather have a driver, I can handle some work for the right car like dropping in an engine and tranny but no basket cases needing a full restoration,

I am in Orlando and look at all the Florida Craigslist which I have decided is like a dirt flea market,
I also look at Fleabay and an online Corvette trader that seems to only have the numbers matching mega dollar cars,
