1,500,000 Corvette Produced
From today's (June 14, 2009) Detroit Free Press
Jim
Corvettes now number 1,500,000
General Motors has pro*duced its 1.5 millionth Chev*rolet Corvette.
The sports car rolled off the line at the Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant May 28. It was a white convertible 3LT with a red interior and a black top.
The company said it was simi*lar to the first, 500,000th and 1 millionth Corvettes built in 1953, 1977 and 1992.

I have a sinking feeling that with the current administration in Washington, they're probably being lobbied hard by the environmental extremist to do away with Corvettes, Challengers, Mustangs, Nascar, and anything else that they consider to be "wasting" energy. I pray I'm wrong, but with the federal government basically calling the shots at GM, I can't see anything good coming from it.
