Header installation
After putting this last night shift in will be tackling my Block Hugger Patriot headers from C.C. I received them today and before coming to work just slipped them in and lined up both sides, drivers side looks good however I have my doubts about passenger side with the tightness of the header to starter, also I think when I tighten them up the flange on the header is going to be tight up against the plug wire shields on both sides. Has anyone out there installed a set of these and if so any guidance you may have will be appreciated.
Thank You
1. Had to remove wire shields as they were in the way.
2. Corvette Central neglected to inform me that the original bracket for the AC would not work and that you needed to order a special one.
3. I bought a set of R45TS and they were longer by 1/4" so I had to loosen headers on one side in order to get it in 1/4" made a big difference, the old plugs were the same series but bigger???
4. Have to get thermal cloth shields for plug wires where they touch headers or will fry.
If anyone is thinking of getting a set drop me an e-mail would gladly go over it with you while still fresh in my mind.
But as I was getting ready to bring to the muffler shop, I decided to replace a leaking lower hose and upon trying to drain radiator snapped off the petcock and cannot get the radiator out the shroud or radiator is causing me STRESS
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
