Hello Fellow Vetteheads,
Now that the header project is coming to and end and the radiator job next weekend I can start to see a little light. I have a question about spark plug wire looms...The front two plug wires on each side are resting on top of the header flange I know these will burn up quickly so I want to bring the wires straight up along the valve cover, over across and to the distributor. Does anyone have experience with these? I do not want to wrap everything up as it will not look good.
Thank You in Advance
Here's what I use. I don't have headers, but with these looms and the straight plug ends, it makes for easier maintenance. Plus, I haven't had any problems with burnt wires.
Are you guys cutting your own wire lengths? If so, is it difficult and/or require special tools for crimping?
Yes, I cut my own wires so they fit correctly with these looms. I bought a cheap crimp tool from Summit to crimp the terminal to the wire. Easy to do.
