Default New Wheels

Thanks to all those that posted in my last thread where I decided to go with these. I think it's a big improvement over my last set. 16x8 TT D's

They look sharp! Enjoy the new wheels. I want a set of polished Torq Thrusts for my '82.

Looking good. I have always liked the gray center wheels. Classic muscle.

Nothing like that "old school" "as cast center" look. It never goes out of style. Enjoy!

Thanks guys,

dosoctaves, you're pic of the 73 made my decision for me

trw, I haven't forgotten the 73, it got new leathers last year and will hopefully get a new paintjob next year if the economy gets better and I get bonus's again.

Gene, That would depend on the show, Leurja is definitly more eye candy than mine.

That is hot!! Never cared much for the stinger hood on C3s but somehow it looks great on yours. Very nice mild custom.

I'm still planning to get those wheels myself. I think i will get the 15x7s though. 215/70s on front and 225/70s on the rear. I'm running manual steering and I'm thinking the skinnier tires on front will help with steering effort. I have 255/50-17 all around right now and the steering effort is a little much at times.

So, what do you have for 17" wheel now? Pic? Selling?

I have been toying with TT Ds, polished IIs, or Hopsters - maybe 16". The selection of 255/60-15 tires is shrinking.

My '80 looks pretty kinda' stock but isn't. It's lower than stock with composite mono springs front and back, "GM Performance Division" plates above the fender vents. Stock slot wheels were kinda' beat up by the POs.

Thanks everyone appreciate the compliments. Now it just needs a set of black sidepipes, that will be much later though. onaqwst, I'd like to lower it a bit but I don't want to cut into it's driveability, which is the entire reason I bought a NOM 69 vert. My 73's nose is lowered 2"s and it's stance is fantastic (see my pics) but it's not very speedbump friendly with being lowered and sidepipes. Old wheels (Centerline Meteor's are for sale by the way, PM if interested).
