Default sidepipe sound clips??

I recently got my car running again after being broken for almost a year. I also just installed some hooker headers and 4" sidepipes. I've been driving around for two weeks with open sidepipes and now its time to decide on an insert for them. I have a 350 with lumpy cam, 4spd, and 4.11s the car sounds awesome at idle and at WOT its like a race car. It sounds like crap at certain cruising rpms though, its loud but has no tone at those times. Plus everytime I take it out i have to baby it and watch for the cops.

I want them to be as loud as possible but still have good tone and not restrict too much power. I've read plenty of old posts and I have narrowed it down to max flows v. sts baffles. However I have read conflicting statements on which one is louder.

I've seen a few video clips on the sts baffles but none with max flows. The max flows are cheaper so i was hoping to hear them so I can decide.

How do the baffles uncapped compare to an open pipe??

Any video clips, sound clips, or feedback will be much appreciated

I have checked already, I've seen videos with STS baffles, Open pipes, and a few with sweet thunder pipes but NONE with max flows lol.

Sounds pretty good, did you drill holes in the caps or just remove them?

I just finished my 76 with a 496 big block and a 8-71 blower with dual 950 carbs.
I had it running with no baffles too loud.
Than with capped baffles too soft( Loud pipes saves lifes), so I decided to uncap the baffles and it is just right loud enough to scare people when they don't know what to expect when you start it up.

Here's all I've got... No revs, it was the first fire of a new motor. Max Flows in the pipes. They will make you DEAF after 30 minutes in the car. Not the most enjoyable ride. STS baffles are the way to go IMHO.

I have a 350 basically stock 4 speed and the max flows. I'll try and get a video sometime this week. They can get a little annoying on the interstate, but they are the best choice in my opinion. Amazon has them for like 150 with free shipping. At least when i got them.

They were put in by a previous owner and he told me they were removed.
