Corvette Calipers - Original?
I have a very low mileage 1982 Corvette with two origianl calipers and two rebuilt. I am trying to find replacements for the two non-original and have the casting numbers but I can't find out if they were dated.
Can anyone tell me if they are dated? My originals have a raised number in the middle, something like 158X3. This isn't exact but it gives you an idea. It definitely doesn't look like a date.
The other two non-original have casting numbers just like an intake or engine block would.
To get two front original calipers, do I only need to be concerned about the casting numbers or should I try to get some with the correct dates?
Are calipers actually stamped with dates? No one seems to know.
