You lived through that? Your the luckieat man alive!. You should buy a lotto ticket. Corvette engineering not to bad, huh?

What a horrible accident, you ARE lucky to still be alive. Everyday should be more precious to you now. I wish you a full recovery.

One of the biggest reasons your still alive is because you were asleep...had you been awake you have tensed up and broken a lot more bones then you did.
Unbelieveable! That was one helluva hit, and yeah, you are very lucky to still be around to tell of it. As others said, it just wasn't your time. Best wishes for a full and quick recovery.
wow, hope you get well soon

Good luck and speedy recovery. It will be hard but just think about being able to get in the replacement Corvette to help over the hard spots.

Talk about a supportive forum. I can't thank you guys enough for it. Every little bit helps on the road to recovery. Things are looking pretty bright.
It looks really close in those pictures, but believe it or not, that was after they pushed my baby away from the pole so they could pull me out. Five minute response time and thirty-five minutes to get me out of the car (I imagine my trying to fend them off didn't help). On the scene sedation and intubation. I owe those EMTs my life.
Rehab is going really well. Main goal is trying to get back the normal range of my knee and elbow. Knee is moving along wonderfully, breaking through scar tissue left and right. Up to a 130° forced bend. The arm is a different story. The pain is just overwhelming. When my knee is being forced to bend I experience an extreme aching pain. The arm is more of a stabbing. My plan for mondays therapy is doping up, warming up, and pushing through it.
Don't be afraid to joke around, there really is humor in almost everything. After all, one of the best things in life is a good laugh.
I really appreciate your support, this is an amazing forum with some pretty amazing people. I will defiantly keep you all updated, and hopefully one day I'll be back to get a new "baby".

my best friend in the world fell asleep at the wheel on rt 95 north of Boston
rolled her roll bar equipped Dodge 4x4
she died.
next time, dont drive if you're too tired.
next time it might not be a pole, it might be me coming in the opposite direction.
sorry.. no pity here

Crabnife: obviously, it wasn't your time.
It's bad enough you were severely wounded and you were fortunate not to have anyone else injured. For that, I'm happy for you.
So many lessons across so many levels. No one is immune from danger when driving.
Hang in there and keep us posted as opportunity arises.
Good Luck.

Glad you're still hear totell about it. Keep the faith. A good mind set helps in recovery and it sounds like you're headed in the right direction.
I'm glad your still hear and I wish you a quick recovery. When you see pictures like that the results don't turn out this way in most cases. The big guy was watching out for you. Remember to tell him thank you.
Glad you will be alright.
